Individual Liberty

Protect Personal Freedom
Individual liberty forms the core of our democratic society.  In the United States, individual liberty is defined as the right of a person to “life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness” and it is the government’s job to ensure these rights – not to constrain or destroy them. The Founding Fathers ensured our individual liberty in the Bill of Rights (1st, 3rd, 4th, and 5th amendments) and later generations expanded and clarified these rights in the 14th amendment to the constitution.

Unfortunately, recent government actions are trampling on these liberties: Obamacare tramples on religious liberty and our right to choose our own health insurance; recent executive actions to limit or tax internet usage trample on our right to free speech, press, and commerce; and proposed government actions to limit firearms and bullets trample on our right to protect ourselves.

Phil Law believes individual liberty is the cornerstone of what makes America great. The freedom for individuals to pursue their own path toward happiness and economic prosperity must be protected at all costs.
Phil will work diligently to see that these most basic human rights are protected for every citizen of the United States.
